SB 138 (McGuire) Feed the Kids - WAITING TO BE PASSED BY THE ASSEMBLY & FOR FINAL CONSIDERATION BY THE SENATE BEFORE BEING SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR
This legislation would increase access to school meals by automatically enrolling low-income students already enrolled in Medi-Cal in free or reduced priced school meals. It also calls upon very high poverty schools to offer free school meals to all students.

This legislation would protect low-income families from increased hunger and hardship during emergencies. It would require the CalFresh program to maximize replacement benefit options during a disaster or power-outage and provide additional budget to be triggered in the case of a disaster declared by the Governor.
AB 1219 (Eggman) Good Samaritan Food Donation Act - APPROVED BY THE ASSEMBLY & SENATE. WAITING FOR THE GOVERNOR TO SIGN INTO LAW.
